Big news in small countries – international journalists at work in Denmark

What is it like to work as an international journalist in a Danish media environment? And how can international journalism skills be applied to jobs in strategic communication, marketing, and niche news services?

Three top international journalists will discuss this, and more, at a panel debate that I am moderating at CIEE in Copenhagen on 22nd March 2019.

Ralitsa Vassileva

Ralitsa Vassileva is a former TV anchor from the international news organization CNN. She is known for her award winning coverage of the 9/11 attacks, the Gulf oil spill and the Arab Spring and is now a consultant for the Danish environment communicators Sustainia.

Howard Knowles

Howard Knowles is the founder and editor of Seven59.dk, an embassy news service for the diplomatic community.

Wesley Mitchell Spyke

Wesley Mitchell Spyke is communications director at the marketing agency Wunderman in Copenhagen

I myself, Mike Young, will be moderating the debate which may also touch on Danish politics and media politics, Brexit, and fake news.

The panel is a part of the course in International Journalism at CIEE. The panel debate is open to the public, but there is limited seating. So write to me on mike@mikeyoungacademy.dk if you want to take part!

When: Friday 22nd March 10:00-11:30

Where: CIEE Copenhagen at Købmagergade 62, 1150 København
